It’s been a busy week!
Last night, we went ahead and purchased the domain name for the station site. You can check out the very raw info/coming soon page at http://www.realhitradio.com. I designed an embarrasingly rough logo for the station as well. You can see it in all of its amateurish glory there as well.
We had a couple of old computers donated to us, and I’m excited about that because one of them is a Pentium 2 with ISA slots. I happen to have some old ISA air cards from a station I used to work at, and they sound great so I’ll be working on getting that machine together for our on-air machine ASAP.
Other than that, I’ve been working with the music and automation. I have a test stream set up, and will be looking for some folks to help out by monitoring the stream very soon. I’ll be securing licensing through SWcast sometime tonight or tomorrow. We’ll also be securing a streaming server at the same time.
I haven’t decided on a voice for the station imaging yet, but I’ll probably end up doing that myself since this is already getting expensive.
