Lead In Wire

Posted on November 10, 2010

It is my guess that a wire antenna should be “end fed,” meaning that the RF lead-in wire coming from the transmitter should feed the 3-meter antenna wire from either the bottom end or the top end.

It is my guess that a wire antenna should be “end fed,” meaning that the RF lead-in wire coming from the transmitter should feed the 3-meter antenna wire from either the bottom end or the top end.

But WHAT IF a 3-meter wire antenna is CENTER-FED, so that the signal would be injected right in the middle of the antenna instead of the end.

What affect/effect would this have on the resulting signal?
