Hey folks,
Part15.us is putting together a video that will be a source of our fund raising in the future.
Here’s the rule:
1) You must sign and mail in a consent form. If you are under 18, I’ll need your parents consent, and a short phone call to confirm with them.
2) You must have either a video camera and the ability to transfer the video to digital format (a computer file) or DVD for mailing, or you can use a webcam and upload the video files to our upload servers.
3) Your content may not be racist, demeaning to other part15’ers, contain illegal material (ie: no smoking interesting herbs on the video), or contain sexual material of any kind. Use common sense: if the bulk majority of the U.S. would find the material offensive, and not allow their precious little kiddies to see it – don’t bother recording it.
4) You will follow a basic script. There is room for adding in you own stuff, and by script I mean more of a video interview type sheet.
5) You agree that we may or may not use the material, but we will certainly not be mailing the material back.
Once we have about 200 minutes worth of film, we’ll start the editing process.
We need about 20 volunteers. Who’s up for this opportunity to live in infamy as one of the Part15.us Video Project folks?

Total posts : 45366mlr,
Help me understand what this is about. What topics are you looking for? I don’t think you would care about 200 minutes of my grandkid or equal time of me trying to solder a part 15 circuit. Who is the intended audience?
I am really missing the point here so more info may or may not help. Advice?

Total posts : 45366It will be a video documentary of the part15 radio culture. What the people are like, why we do what we do, information about how to do it, pitfalls, horror stories, happy endings, anything that would make a person sit and watch a 90-110 minute movie.

Total posts : 45366Thanks. That helps a lot. I will ponder what I can contribute. I started with part 15 AM in 1959 and still have a working KnightKit AM transmitter and lots of stories to tell. If I can come up with something that may be interesting you’ll hear from me.
