So today I was just messing around in my RTL SDR trying to see what I can find out there and when I began to go into the 70’s MHz area I began to hear music like .2 or .3 mhz apart. I then relised my AM station plays that same music. I tuned my clock to 1670AM and bam same music was playing. Is my talking house going to interfear with other things or is it just my SDR messing up. The transmitter and computer are in the same room. Can someone explain whats going on with this 😛
Thanks 🙂

Total posts : 45366It is possible for the other things in close proximity to your transmitter antenna to pick up the signal…it can be induced into the wiring of other electronics and you can possibly hear it in other things like amplified speakers, computer, other radios even in a totally different frequency range.
Heard of mattresses picking up signals from strong local AM stations in the spring network of the mattress and hearing a station faintly when laying on the mattress.

Total posts : 45366The close proximity is probably just overloading the radio.

Total posts : 45366You won’t. This type of interference is caused only by close proximity to high RF by cheap radios. Simply moving the radio can cure the issue.
