Total posts : 45366These small transmitter boards work great ! Sure Electronics is a solid seller on ebay, I recomend 100% I have bought one of these transmitters, (mine came three in a package even though they advertise as a set of two ) and they check out excellent. Dont exceed 3 volts, you need a 3 volt supply or regulator board which SURE is also selling. Pre emp is listed at 155us but that has to be wrong spec, the audio sound is ver close to other stations on the band,so I am assuming this board has the standard 50us tc Pre emp as most of the stuff comming out of China like this. Its all SM so almost impossible to change components, and the chip they use is not something I can find schmatics on so not sure what pins mean what. This does not use a BH 1415-1417 chip. The frequency selection works good, but you need to apply Vcc on the address lines to change frequency, some boards I have used you ground to get freq change this one you apply Vcc, not sure if you need to add series resistors on the Vcc, the instructions dont say anything about it. I Tested the module, very hard to work on because of extreme small size, but its possible. My vision isnt the best at close up, so it was hard for me but as mentioned, younger eyes should not be a problem. The audio quality and Freq stabilty is excellent. Dont expect much range from less than 20mw, use a small amp if you can. I recomend this chip, us guys are lucky to have these products available, used to be you had to make it all your self.. maybe you can relate. Buying this chip is easier than hacking an ipod FM transmitter of any make, Ive done that too but by the time you redo everything you have just what it looked like you would have, a hacked car transmitter so this works better in that respect. I recomend this chip, yes there are lots of others too, but I know from my own experience this one is ok !
