Total posts : 45366Is there a way to embed a teamspeak client into zara radio using the add internet stream thing?

Total posts : 45366Teamspeak is compatible with Zara… I cannot imagine why you’d need to embed the Teamspeak Client within Zara.
Here’s how to view it as far as I know…
1. Previous Experience — you already know that your local computer microphone can be heard by anyone listening to Teamspeak at the other end…
2. Instead of feeding your computer mic input with a microphone, feed it with an audio output from your radio station mixer or the Zara output, wnichever you’re broadcasting from. Your mixer/Zara output will need to be at mic level and not line level or it will over-drive causing clipping distortion.
3. The engineer at WBCQ will need to have Teamspeak installed on their computer, log into your Teamspeak account and use the audio coming from your feed.

The following has worked for me in the past and I just tried it while using the on-air computer for BBR 1620.
First open teamspeak, press settings and then options and then playback. Don’t worry about Playback Mode or Playback devicego down to Voice Volume Adjustment turn it down to quiet
and the same with Sound Pack Volume you don’t want the little voices popping in there while you are broadcasting.Press Apply
Click on Capture
Change capture device to Stereo MixNext
Change from push to talk and change to Continuous Transmission…
Then press Begin Test button….
You should get levels now on the test graph (you want something playing while you do this)It should not echo, if you did the steps above, otherwise if you left it as default for voice you will get an awful echo effect effect effect effect lol
Hope this helps, (hard to type with all this racket in the house) ….
P.S. Might shoot an email to Alan at WBCQ to confirm this but i am pretty sure it will work. Good Luck and Congrats on the power upgrade lol

Anthony, you never said you will be using Zara.
What you said is that WBCQ wants to receive you through Zara.
Now I’m getting smarter, but not by much.
Zara wants to get an internet stream address, and I’m not sure Teamspeak provides one, but there’s probably a workaround.
But here’s where my advice of using a streaming encoder/server really has meaning…
By using a conventional private stream address you could be picked up and added to the Zara Playlist at WBCQ.
And to you, Barry Blue Bucket, the page of tips you gave are being printed and added to my Teamspeak/Zara file, it’s really good information.

Total posts : 45366I want to thank you all for helping me out. Bob at MRAM 1500 was unbelievably helpful by guiding me through the process of setting up BUTT (broadcast using this tool) and a listen2myradio.com account and can now give the IP to WBCQ to broadcast live from the home studio to theirs.

Total posts : 45366The Atrain is going to be big, and I don’t mean over-weight.
He is headed toward radio fame in the future… right at the same time as Rush and the other blowhards are fading away.
Anthony Atrain is the kind of guy who will still be nice to us small timers when he is big time.
