I’ve got two (2) Ampex 351’s (that’s right, the tube models) that I’m looking to sell. They are both monural units, full track, in mint condition (they have been well maintained and are cosmetically in very good condition as well) and were working when removed from service (6/09). They come in custom built wood table racks, the owners manual and one custom made remote box is included as well. Purchaser is responsible for shipping.
Serious offers only.

I might be interested in one (I’d never have room for both of them) but have no idea what a reasonable offer would be. Are you hoping to sell both to one buyer? In which case I’d have to pass anyway.

While I’d prefer to sell them as twins I’m not married to the concept. If you wanted a copy of the service manual you’d have to pay for the copy costs as well. Due to the excellent technical and cosmetic condition of the units, fair market value is $1,200 per unit; however if the lucky person buys both, I’m willing to come down to $2,000 for the pair (savings of $400).June 27, 2018 at 3:08 pm #104222Carl BlareParticipant

The first radio station I worked had 2 of these side by side. What industrial tools they are!
Many recordings employed them for master taping including Barbary Coast Records in San Francisco owned by Al Levitt of KFSR-FM.June 27, 2018 at 3:27 pm #104224Carl BlareParticipant

Last chance on the Ampex 351’s before I put them up for sale on Ebay. As of sometime Friday they’ll be listed on Ebay.May 25, 2019 at 11:36 am #111272
