The next regular TeamSpeak meeting of The ALPB will be Saturday, February 20th at 8:00 pm EST (0100 UTC Sunday.)
There is the possibility that I may be out of town at meeting time. Anthony Messina (Atrain) and I will be attending the Winter SWL Fest at Plymouth Meeting, PA. which is the 19th and 20th. I will be representing The ALPB, Anthony will be discussing Part 15 broadcasting as it relates to the U.S.
An 8 hour drive home, I hope to be back in time to make the meeting to bring news of our presentation.
Per The ALPB Charter, the meeting will proceed as usual should I be unavailable.
Hoping to hear you there…

Well worth the $2.

Total posts : 45366I have a question. I can’t figure what it does and there doesn’t seem to be a manual for the app. There is a button on the bottom right. Its round and inside it looks sort of like an eye. I have tried clicking it and nothing hapens. I was also trying to figure how to get to the chat screen where as if someone puts up a link I’d be able to see it on the Andorid. Otherwise yes the push to talk works well and the sound seems good. I have it on my LG G2 phone.

Total posts : 45366Checking it out, pressing the “eye” button will make participants in other rooms visible. So, unless someone is in another room, pressing the button would appear to do nothing.
When I pressed the “eye” button it made the “WCFI” client in the WCFI-LP REMOTE STL room visible to me. I was in “The ALPB” room at the time.
During the meeting Saturday, have someone go into one of the other rooms and then press the button.

Total posts : 45366The TeamSpeak download site used to list different versions of TeamSpeak Client; i.e. Client 1, Client 2, Client 3.
Apparently they have dropped that designation as when you open the TeamSpeak download site the Client program downloads are listed only by type of operating system.
Assuming most people are using Windows, the choice is for 32 bit or 64 bit OS.
There are also selections of “4NetPlayers” and “gamed!de”. The default “4NetPlayers” seems to work just fine.
In any case it is the “Client” program you need to install.
I was not aware of this change as I have not had to reload TeamSpeak in quite a while. The program will prompt occasionally for you to accept the latest upgrade version.
I will update The ALPB website to reflect this change.

Total posts : 45366I run TeamSpeak Client on my MotoX Smartphone, Android based.
Cost about $2 from the Google Play Store. Seems to work just fine.
I only access the internet from the Smartphone when WIFI is available as my cell plan has very limited DATA access to keep cost down. So, I can only use it where WIFI is available.
I did use my DATA access for a short period of time to connect to The ALPB TeamSpeak meeting when I was not able to be at home in time for the meeting.
