I helped a fellow Amateur radio operator get some antennas up in his “community”. I had him get permission for the following; A flagpole and a clothesline. We gutted the fiberglass radome from an old SuperStationmaster antenna and put a trap vertical inside it with a rope and pulley for his flag, planted in his yard and nobody is the wiser. The clothesline, you guessed it,was aluminum wire-a perfect dipole setup was deployed. There are many ways around it if you are smart and resourceful. We ran some #22awg wire along the roof’s ridgeline where the Cobra vent is,a beautiful longwire 250 feet along his condo! We also ran some #22 to a tree(late at night)some 120 feet away. Keep trying!!! It has been done!
