This will probably work if you are using T6061 wires for the radials but what about copper? Copper attached to aluminum is a disaster waiting to happen in terms of corrosion and bad connections.
Guess when they say “high conductivity aluminum” that they missed that copper has higher conductivity than aluminum. At least they didn’t say “higher conductivity”.
Just get some #12 or bigger copper wire, form a ring, and solder your radials to the ring. Optionally, coat it with a layer or two of clear outdoor or marine grade lacquer. Even without the lacquer, it will be there 20 years from now unlike this design.
