Not to be argumentative but, when calibrated by a lab, the FIM fsm’s give reaults that stand up in a court of law. I have defended stations I have consulted (AM & FM) with the FCC for over 3 decades. These particular fsm’s are considered by the feds as state of the art. Monitoring stations and vans are equipped with these or Delta brand fsm’s. They also use high tech Racal receivers, spectrum analyzers and calibrated wide-band RF micro-voltmeters. A note: for the FCC, they are considered “el cheapo” only when their results don’t hold up in court.
