Maybe the best way to avoid the potential of co-channel interference would be to operate your two transmitters on different frequencies.

Unsynchronized transmitters on the same frequency (which in practice is almost impossible to maintain) will produce periodic enhancement and cancellation at a given receiver site where the signals are about equal yet the frequencies or phases differ, similar to night time fading of distant AM signals.

Even if the transmitters are phase locked at the same carrier frequency, there will be spatial peaks and nulls.
