Thanks for expanding your remarks re HOAs. We have very few gated areas here so that didn’t occur to me in my previous post.
Since the subject of antennas never came before my HOA, I have no experience to relate other than the City Code requires a construction permit and an inspection for outside antennas, as would apply to any primary electrical work. This is not to restrict antennas but rather to ensure safety.
On the other hand, if someone proposed erecting a 200 foot tower in a residential area it would not surprise me if there would be a zoning issue raised and resistance encountered from the City.
Personally, I don’t see why anyone would object to a SSTRAN type antenna but apparently, according to some posters, people do and it appears that some HOAs micromanage things beyond what is done here. That is certainly a real problem for some.
Regarding stealth antennas, some good suggestions have been offered above and I have nothing to add.
