“Awaiting instructions on uploading and downloading from the http://FTP.”
This folder will be set up so that there are sub folders which will contain the uploaded files, a folder for each program title. This will help keep things organized and easy to find.
I also suggest the audio file include a text file with program description and such. To keep things further organized, this added text file should have the same file name (minus extension) as the audio file’s name.
For example..if the audio file name is something like “LowPowerHour01.mp3”, then its added text info file should be named “LowPowerHour01.txt”. This text file can include any important information regarding the program and content, total run times and segment times and production date and any other info as deemed necessary.
Before I create this FTP account, what is needed first is a list of proposed programs and their source so that the sub folders can be created below the main folder. More can be added later as we go.
Information to the LW FTP such as log in info and such will be emailed to those participating. To sign up, simply send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and include your station name, call sign, and contact info. Also include what program or programs you wish to upload so that I can create the appropriate folders. Please put LWFTP in the subject line so that your email will not be tossed into the spam filter.
Each station that participates will have complete access for uploading and downloading to and from any of the source folders. When logged into the FTP, you will be taken to the root main folder and from there all of the sub folders can be easily chosen and programs uploaded or downloaded.
FTP maintenance will be handled by myself and any updates or notices will be emailed to each participating station as well as notes or other important information in text file format on the FTP main root folder.
Any questions please feel free to ask.
