I’ve tried grounding to a waterpipe and didn’t have much success. But, you might have better luck than I did.
My Rangemaster was 10 feet up and I was getting coverage of about a mile radius. That’s with grounding into very rocky soil with poor ground conductivity. I’m sure I coul do better with a better planned installation.
