Thanks to all who attended the meeting!
A trial Mini-Seminar was presented using two different formats.
TeamSpeak incorporates AVATARs (image files) primarily used to identify a user. The avatar can be changed quickly enough to serve as a slide show. Although the picture size is small by comparison, the resolution is adequate for the image to be viewed. Images are sequenced to follow script and the presenter simply changes the avatar image as needed.
Streaming software from NCH Swift called BroadCam give a robust, screen filling image in full motion video as well as audio. Live video would require a well rehearsed presentation to ensure smooth delivery. To be fully interactive there would need be two-way audio so viewers could comment or ask questions during the presentation. TeamSpeak serves that purpose allowing the presenter to hear the viewers.
In either case, the experiment was a success showing that we can deliver Mini-Seminars, live, during a meeting.
Now the search for presentations begins! Bring your ideas to the next meeting. Or better yet, become a presenter and show off your expertise!
