I’ll be sure to give you a listen for a while after dinner,. Always been a big fan, but to me nothing of of the Beatles is going to be “rare, obscure, and deep tracks”..
Any chance you ever heard the first time Ringo introduced the first verse of Octopusses Garden then stopped and said “that’s all I got.. ” From there insued about 2 hours of the four of them working together on the lyrics and melody. I think portions of it are on some of their “Past Masters” releases, but I had manage to aquire about 14 hours of the 1969 outakes a at least 10 years before that.
My copies were on premium quality cassette tapes that originated from the masters.. There was this guy who owned a record store called Graveyard Records and Tapes and I had frequented there a lot, as it was the only place I could find 45rpm records for the old juke box that used to be in my diner (this was before the internet) .. Anyway, he was also a major Beatles Fanatic who somehow had access to all kinds of special items.. That’s where I got my collection, paid a couple hundred for it.
Later loaned the whole case of tapes to a musician “friend” I knew and never saw him again.
Anyway, will be sure to check out your show an hour or two this evening
