Reliving the golden age of radio with dramas like Suspense, Inner Sanctum Mysteries, Our Miss Brooks, Gunsmoke.
Plus the best oldies from the 50s to the early eighties. "Making over the air radio great again" sounding better on 89.9FM in Toronto under BETS-1 which allows local neighbourhood broadcasting in Canada license free.
The "good old days" live here.
Where can I find OTR shows?
https://www.oldtimeradiodownloads.com/all-shows/4
But the best place is youtube with playlists of almost all episodes in every series made. Including over 900 episodes of Suspense in one playlist.
But to see all the OTR shows that aired the first suggestion will list every show ever aired and info about it and episodes for downloading so you can see all that were made and pick which ones you want. Just not as complete an inventory per series as what you will find on youtube.
Most of these are public domain so most don't need fees for use.
I've found this site to be the best: Old Time Radio Researchers.
These guys have collected the best quality episodes from virtually every available show. Many have been re-encoded at high bit rates from the original transcription disks.
One of the problems with OTR shows is that very early on, many were encoded at low bit and sample rates. Unfortunately, a lot of these shows are still out there, circulating. Some are the only one's available for a particular show and episode, and you have to accept the lesser quality.
I usually start with the OTRR, and extend my search to other sites, including youtube, if (in the odd case), they don't have what I'm looking for.
I'd also get a good reference book that will show you what shows might exist. The 'bible' is John Dunning's Encyclopedia of Old-Time Radio, but there are others. Radio's Golden Age by Frank Buxton & Bill Owen is another, older, reference, and it can also be found in the Open Library (part of archive.org).
Thank you both. I had a listener suggestion about airing some.
