KDX consists of part 15 AM & FM, Icecast stream server, & station website, and when bad weather happens it all gets turned off for security from weather damage. Today has seen two storm periods and I've decided not to come back on again until tomorrow because there's a lot involved with getting it all started. When I started this thread I thought I had a reason for saying these things, but now I can't remember what it was. So, I guess go back to whatever you were doing.
A change of mind came because the clouds cleared and the sun came out. KDX is fully online until the next uproar.
It's another predawn at KDX and we are again shut down with thunder in the area for the past 2-hours. We seem to be on the edge of a storm that is standing still. I always disconnect the ground radials from the Procaster AM Transmitter because they run under the building and outdoors where they could be hit by lightning which would bring it right inside. I have one computer online but not streaming, with some insulation because we are connected via 5GB Wi-Fi.
