Had a couple changes to the program schedule.
Had a Saturday news/public affairs show cancelled. And we been taking on a freeform music format...
AM 1700 WEFR Program Schedule - 8/24/23
Democracy Now! - Mon - Fri at 8am and 6pm
Between The Lines - Sat at 8am.
T.B.A. (To Be Announced) - Sat at 8:30am
Appalachian Sunday Morning - Sun at 8am.
Gospel Gold Radio Hour - Sun at 10am.
FSN Feature Story News - Top of the hour 24 hrs Mon - Fri. Every 3 hrs Weekends.
Freeform music (Country-Pop-Rock) at all other times.

Also been scoping out a possible move to 1630 to hopefully have better coverage at night. Currently getting limited by a 1700 out of New York after sunset.

The New York station at 1700 is WRCR and I have read about that station somewhere. Where are you located, Roy? At my location on the Mississippi River I have not been able to use 1630 because of a station in Iowa, and I have a weird problem with 1700... there is a 5 kW station nearby at 850 kHz and its 2nd harmonic is 1700 which puts a loud buzz on that channel on local radios. You've got a good schedule.

@carl-blare Im in northern part of West Virginia. The station in Iowa would be about the closet to me here. Yes WRCR in Rockland County, NY outside of New York City.

I think West Virginia has an unusual radio-silent zone where no broadcasting is allowed, not even Wi-Fi, to keep the spectrum quiet for space radio-telescopes or some such.
