Here's a transmitter that seems half decent and has been completely overlooked! FCC part 15 certified and still in production and available on Amazon and Ebay. Very affordable!!
You tube videos show good sound quality.
Operates on batteries and has input jack for other audio source and can swap crystals for different frequency.
