I am going to try to improve the audio response of the TH 5- I know that in the past someone had posted instructions on how to do this, along with some photos and I think showing the caps that need to be changed on the TH 5 board. I have seen a few things on this but none have been very clear for example one post said to change these values “C301 and C337. These 2 caps control the bass and treble response of the transmitter. Increasing C301 will increase bass, decreasing C337 will increase highs. Change C301 to .15uf and C337 to 30pf. This can be done on top of circuit board” good luck as no parts are marked or labeled far as the unit I took apart. Can anyone direct me to the link with more accurate information? I have the updated I AM radio mods schematic but the stock schematic dosen't show a C337 or C 301. The modified iAM TX shows a C301,, is that because it was added or what ?Thank you,
Radio Joe
Joe: I don't have my photos/skizmo in fron of me. Is C301 a small variable cap? If so, it's a netting capacitor for the crystal.
Of Little Help Right Now
I almost remember seeing the images of the Talking House 5.0 audio components, but do not remember where I saw them.
For a long time I've been on the lookout for a schematic diagram for the latest Talking House circuit, but people who own one tell me that no circuit is supplied with the unit.
My latest curiosity would like to compare the iAM and Talking House circuits side-by-side to get a full idea of what's been done with this least expensive certified AM transmitter.
@ Carl: I posted the pics but don't remember where I hid them.
