how do you use WWV as a reference oscillator for syncing multiple transmitters. looking at syncing my 219 outdoor install with a 221 indoor cc system.
Using the AC current as a reference would be better. Or tapping the reference pulse from a synchronized clock would work too.

There are problems using WWV for the phase accuracy you seek for synchronizing transmitters. One of the most severe is that the signal path can change moment to moment and the WWV signal will arrive at varying times. Being off by 300 nanoseconds (the time it takes light to travel the length of a football field) will shift the phase reference for the transmitters by about 180 degrees at X band frequencies.
Personally, I wouldn't try to sync transmitters rather I would operate them on different frequencies. This eliminates RF and audio sync problems.

Come to think of it I operate on multiple frequencies, although the transmitters are in the same general location.
But the advantage of multiple frequencies is an appearance of strength and advantage.
Other stations only have one transmitter, BUT BANANA BELT RADIO HAS FOUR TRANSMITTERS, 1400, 1570, 1610, and 1690 -- BANANA TERRITORY!
Of course transmitters that do not overlap can use a single frequency.
look up 80231 on radio locator. check fringe reception option. i really only have two frequencies here and they are barely viable at that.
i need to sync my part 15.219 and my 15.221 on the same frequency.
unless i 15.221 on 1470 and 15.219 on 1670
my tx's would be on the same site so they can be wire line synced like rangemasters.
they are both pll though and not crystal.
