The phrase "FM troll" or "anti FM troll" has showed up in several threads. What dose it mean?
This is the definition of an Anti FM Troll. Anti FM Trolls hide behind the false hood that FM Transmitters will only reach a persons own property line. They only recite blindly 15:239 and 15:219 without regards to what commissioners have said about AM and only reaching 98 Feet and any time an FM station is heard they are quick to wave a Pirate flag and narc out (rat off) an FM station. (See what happened to MrBruce from an anti FM Troll) Some Anti FM trolls will also sing praises to overpowered AM stations with larger than the legal antenna or ground leads but tap dance that they too are doing the very same thing they accuse a micro powered FM station of doing because their signal can be heard off their property line. Anti FM Trolls often work for the FCC and lurk or try and Trap someone to admit (or what they think their admitting) that they are going over the limit and do a fishing expedition to report back to someone that they keep in contact from the FCC often for rewards or their own power tripping. Some Anti FM Trolls set up “Trap Websites” or may suddenly start talking about a station they have that clearly goes over part 15 to lure a wood be Pirate to sing praise. If its done the Anti FM Troll will do what ever he or she deems necessary to get that station wiped off the FM dial. Not all stations an Anti FM Troll knocks off the air are true Pirates. Anti FM Trolls often work for the NAB so their job is to discourage any FM transmitter Legal or not. They use whack a mole tactics till all hobbyists only use an AM Transmitter. You'll see them on every forum such as Light O Rama telling folks that all FM transmitters are crap. I probably can come up with more things an Anti FM Troll will do but I don't think I've left anything out.
It is important to suddenly hear that some of those who post in these forums are employed by the FCC and assigned to Troll Duty.

We've got to post a listing of their troll names and troll pictures so we know who they are!
It could be any one of us! My god maybe it's the ones in Canada! No one would suspect them!
I think that we need to calm the rhetoric a bit.
There's no doubt that there are those out there who are biased towards Part 15 AM. Some of it is no doubt due to ignorance. Some of it, I'm sure, is to remain in the good graces of broadcast friends and companies that they deal with and that want to protect the FM band from interference, because that's where they make their money. There's also the fact that Part 15 AM has far more useable range with ordinary radios than FM. And finally, maybe they're just more comfortable dealing with AM.
I don't think it's a conspiracy. I don't even think that it's planned all that much. It's really only a few individuals with questionable judgement.
Let this website take the high road. It's OK to rebut what is being said, anywhere by anybody, but not to name call. Let's deal here in science and math and facts, as opposed to personal opinions.
And let's move Part 15 forward.
There really are government trolls
Very Interesting idea lol. Hey can we call them Anti FM Extremists instead of Troll then lol. Anyways Yea I know I can be a little extreme at times. I really like the Facebook idea and getting more bolks aware of what we're trying to eo. We want a little more legal power and to get the public not to be afraid of Micro Broadcasting. Some of the "Extremeists" are that way because they don't have all the facts. That is why they want to be Anti this and that.
