So you'll know, WBCQ is a licensed shortwave station in Monticello, Maine, also owner of an AM and FM station, belonging to Allan Weiner, the former pirate broadcaster of Radio New York International, broadcasting from a ship parked 3-miles off the coast of New York City, raided and arrested by the FCC back then.
His photo gallery is radio heaven and once you go in you will be different when you come out...

Everyday John WDCX reports link problems left behind by somebody with my name.
If at first.... try again...
Let's go to the main page for WBCQ. On the rightside is a column "On the Internet" where you'll see "Photo Gallery." Click it while you can.
There's a Scott Philharmonic in there!!!!!!
And then there's TimTron and his
Cadaverlac.
If anyone wants to know about
TimTron and his Cadaverlac, let
me know and I'll put it up on the
"Yesterday Radio" thread. TimTron is
famous (????) on the east coast.
Bruce
I have heard OF TimTron's Cadaverlac and seen the pictures, but I don't know THE STORY behind it.
Is it a scary story?
I agree that TimTron is a radio personality. He knows transmitters from the inside of the tube out.
YES, he does!
Give me a chance to get over to the other
thread and I'll mention a little bit about the
legend of TIMTRON.
I won't say who he really is.
Oh - there's nothing scary about
the story - and I only really know
the story from my point of view.
Bruce
What?
Bruce?
Where did you go?
Other thread?
Ok, wait for me.
pirate station. I heard them at the top of the AM band
and maybe on an SWBC frequency (at the same time) a few
days before they were busted by the FCC.
They were on the good ship SARAH at the time.
It's been so long...
Bruce
I'll talk about it on the "Yesterday's Radio..."
thread.
But I can't yet.
See you there soon.

Lots of nice stuff, but I didn't come out as a different person. There is one thing that has my special interest: That radio boat!!
