How many are using LP's as a source material? Even if you're running full time automation, did some of your files come off of records?
In my case, at least a third came from LP's.
My late uncle was a club DJ in the 70's and 80's - I just inherited something close to 6-8K 12" singles and full length records (he was in every record pool that he could get in for a decade in a half). I'm waiting for my grandparents to ship them from NJ to California.
So I plan on running ALOT of my stuff from records... right now I have maybe a hundred records I rescued from the thrift stores.
That's a lot of vinyl! I've got a couple of hundred LP's but not all of them rock. My sister-in-law has hundreds; her husband bought albums all the time, and I'm going to hit them up to borrow them.
i think even records ripped down to mp3 sound cooler than cd's 🙂 i love the snap crakle pop 🙂
