Recently, I downloaded TeamViewer onto my station computer and my personal laptop so that I may be able to control my radio station from my laptop while I am at college, a friend's house, or where ever.
I am so so pleased with how it works and would suggest anyone else here to try it out if this is something you could use!
I have used it a decent numbers of times when I had problem trying to connect to a RDP Server had friends connect and get me connected without any problems.
I use TinyVNC to communicate between my windows machine and my linux machines. Don't know if it works windows to windows or not but it works fine windows to linux.
Just as TeamView this gives a remote desktop and doesn't seem to have any serious latency.

Yes it does, at least for me it has. Of course I have been living in mostly Linux world for serveral years now. I currently use Remmina remote desktop.

"TinyVNC", or did you mean Tight VNC? I'm trying to Google this.
I used to use VNC and/or UltraVNC and, going way back, PcAnywhere. I have been using the free version of Teamviewer for several years and it works just fine. I was working in MI and IN the last 6 years so it came in very handy when my wife had some kind of computer problem back home in PA so I used it to get on her laptop and help her. Also I use Blue Iris to control my security cameras at both my MI and PA homes and would upload the video to my servers in each home so that, if either home was burglarized and the burglar had the sense to take or destroy the server, the video would still be safely stored at the other home. I use Teamviewer to control each of those servers. Now I also use Teamviewer to control Zara and my programming, for my Part 15 radio station. I am sold on Teamviewer and would recommend it to anyone.
Please post a link for "free". Must have overlooked that when I was shocked by the $800 on the poor man's subscription.

Now if you use it commercially then it's not free. They do bug you a lot to upgrade to the paid version.
I use TeamViewer to control my station on the virtual windows server my sponsor helped me to get and use when my Internet has issues with 24/7 constant streaming.
I can take requensts just as if I had it on my own computer. I also do voice tracking by speaking into an Mp3 drecorder program. I upload the file fia TeamViewer and put it into a folder called Voice Uploads. I'm able to update and delete the files when I need to. Love the FREE TeamViewer and did mention it at the ALPB meeting one night.
