citizens finally grew a pair and had a huge march on washington. couldn't have come at a better time with all the injustices we are starting to see over thee last few years.
i know it was a commemoration of mlk jr's 1963 march but it was also a renewal of the progressive commitment to moving things forward not backward.

This weekends Major March Event is the subject of today's entire DEMOCRACY NOW! with Amy Goodman. She does interviews and we hear speeches delivered at the event. Free to air for all stations from
Not a fan of Amy Goodman. Like the other talking heads on radio, she has an agenda rather than being objective.
She does?
Well anyway, the entire hour is devoted to the speeches and events taking place in DC, nothing got left out or altered. Perhaps Ms. Goodman's inobjective, disobjective, nonobjective, or unobjective reports took place on different days. I carry her show everyday, and have yet to notice an improper slant on the news.
I have heard Fox News distort the news toward dishonest agendas.
VOA, carried by some stations domestically, is openly "the propaganda arm of the Homeland."
Today the president of the homeland gave a rhetorical string of platitudes that did not at all resemble his official agenda pointing us toward world war.
There might be some agendas going on right here in the play room.
I think for just listening to the news,
the BBC is still a real good source.

Carl, whenever I mention news slant of the left I get Fox thrown in my face. For the record, I do not listen to or watch Fox aside from The Simpsons or NFL football.
Every American can be proud that we have the rights to march on our capitol without being run over by tanks or being shot at. MOST of the footage I watched was very inspiring. The only thing that I seen that I had a big problem with was when some chose to desecrate the flag by replacing the stars with Obama's face. I have to admit, it made me very very angry and its a dam good thing that I wasnt standing next to people waving said flag. As far as the Fox vs MSNBC vs CNN topic goes, I watch a little of each and make up my own mind. To pretend that ANY one of them are more nobel that the other I think is just wishful thinking.
Register independent and maybe these bastards will work harder for your vote 🙂

By that I guess you then agree that Fox is not "fair" or "balanced." But what are they, if not "to the left?" Would it be true they are to the "extreme right?"
Anyway, Democracy Now is not politically polarized according to the crudely defined labels "left" or "right." It is a news journalism hour with also co-host Juan Gonzalez, himself an author and winner of journalism awards.
But since only Amy Goodman was mentioned as "having an agenda other than being objective," I wonder if misogyny is speaking. But that's subjective speculation, based on my bias that "the right" equates with religious patriarchy.
Having gotten nowhere the conversation turns to "other talking heads on the radio." As it happens the other talking heads are not journalists, they are belicose propaganda pushers, so I think maybe we agree about that.
If Democracy Now is not the honest report I think it is, I need to know so I can stop being fooled. What is their hidden agenda of which I am so naive?
I like women Carl and anyone who knows me can testify that I have no interest in a facist theocracy that we have/are becoming. God Bless America!

Back in the day Communists were proud to be Communists. Then the world began to see what Communists really were with mass murder et al. So many Communists or "Socialists" morphed into "Progressives." It sounds much nicer. 🙂
