You can use the "Add Internet Stream" function to download and play an audio file, in addition to the normal use of streaming a broadcast. I can use this to get weather forecasts from PirateWeather.com and insert them into a playlist.
Add an Internet Stream to your Playlist with the following values (Use your own Zip Code and change the time to suit).
URL = http://audio.pirateweather.com/88001.mp3

I set the Silence Detector to 10 seconds in ZaraRadio, so if the forecast ends much sooner or is not available, the next track will play within 10 seconds.
My weather forecast seems to run just under one minute. I'll have to keep an eye on this to make sure I don't cut it off prematurely. I could set this higher and rely on the Silence Detector to kick in, but this would mean a longer pause before the next track.
If anyone knows of a way to handle a variable play length on an Internet Stream, please let me know.
I record the weather myself here and schedule it to run every 20-30 mins or so...Doesnt take that long to update it a few times a day if needed...Dont like that robot sound...

I use ZaraRadio ver 1.4.4 which has the ability to use internet streaming audio, but until now I haven't been able to get it to do this. I was blamming it on the plug-in I'm using for sound processing.
I put the URL you gave into the playlist and, it works! Now if I can just figure out why the other links I've tried would not work. You've given me hope.
Thanks.
