Bob and I are really excited to talk about Part 15 radio and the ALPB.

We will stream our presentation live at 8:30 AM EST via my station's Ustream channel.

Anthony Atrain and Bob MRAM are about to write a great chapter in Part 15 Radio History by their presentation at the SWL Fest.

Streaming it for all to watch is an excellent touch!

A giant step for small radio!

Great Work Anthony.  And thanks for that great The Legacy logo right on the station page.  I really hope this opens some eyes.

Well, after sitting on the PA turnpike for two hours we're moving again.  Seems a nasty wreck a mile ahead...

So, we're about 2 1/2 hours from the 'Fest site.  Might have time to run through the presentation tonight.

Really wanted to arrive before dark.  Hmmm, it's dark.

Yeah, that was bad.  Looks like a semi crashed the barrier and crossed over.  At least two rigs completely destroyed.

From where we were sitting we could see dense black smoke rising for the better part of an hour.

Well, finally at our destination; Hilton Double Tree in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Took a few minutes to walk the building and check out the presentation room.  There I met Chris Cuff long enough to introduce myself and the lady and a quick glance around the room.

Sixth floor, Honors Guests.  The 'Fest has a Hospitality room just across the way from ours.  We walked over where we saw several attendees relaxing and enjoying conversation.  The big meet was at the table lined wall where there were 7 or 8 very nice communications receivers in operation.  All the guys were clustered around the rigs checking them out, listening to various broadcasts; 3800 KHz band, 7200 KHz band, 11 MHz band and so on.

Out on the balcony was a loop antenna attached to the railing.  The loop appeared to be about 30 inches in diameter.

11:30.  A last read over notes for tomorrow and then to bed.

Amthony Messina (Atrain Radio) and Bob Felmly (MRAM) were well received at the SWL Fest in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

From listener response it was clear that many participants were familiar with various historic aspects of Part 15 radio such as real estate AM frequencies on billboards, carrier current AM in drive-in movie theaters and other memories from the past.

Today will probably result in more radio folks picking up the Part 15 hobby.

I don't know how the audio quality is but I will broadcast more of the presentations using TeamSpeak for those interested.

The next show is at 1:45 is all about "Longwave Beacons".

Here's hoping my battery holds out.
