So - i'm going to test my radio station rig by scheduling a show for tomorrow morning.

http://stream.pachewy.com:8000/stream

7AM Pacific time - 8AM Pacific time : The Shadow

2 Episodes of The Shadow, with a short 3 minutue Benny Goodman break.

Generic 80's pop, alternative, R&B, rock, and rap plays when there is nothing scheduled.

It's 07:38 EDST gang and we're listening to Kool and The Gang-Celebration on MLR WORLDWIDE here in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

Will there be a QSL card?

Don't forget that your QSL cards can be no higher than 3 millimeters to be compliant.

By the way, I've let your stream play for an ample while on three different occasions since your initial post and still havent heard any shadow episodes...

Who knows why? .. The shadow do.

Instead of sending physical QSL cards by snailmail, how about sending virtual QSL cards by e-mailing the card that your listeners can print themselves.

Here is everything we need to know about the QSL Card

You find a $9.99 printer that only prints 100 cards?  If you get a $99 printer from say Wal_Mart, you can print more than 100 cards. Just sayin.

I don't know bout the rest of you guys, but email has gotten to the point of being almost a nuisense.. I spend more time deleting junk emails than I do actually reading or receiving something of interest.

I agree, virtual contact has it's share of positives with convience and all, but a physical receivement and the specific effort it required to accomplish extends a sense of connection which virtual electronic interaction is only a poor substitute..

hmmm... poor wording on my part, but I'm saying; yeah I agree.

to the point of printing them myself: I do appreciate the link, but i would love to have cards that were printed on non-digital presses.. i still know a couple of printers around here..

But - more to the point: The test worked. I am really happy with the results.  I have been adding things to the schedule to make it more variety-ish.  I think I will do OTR early mornings (6am pacific - 9am pacific), then 80's pop/alternative stuff through the day, some 80's hairband stuff, and whatever else i decide on.

Thank you for the feedback.  The link to the streaming will be shut down, I'll have a new, permanat link going through the proper licencing channels over the weekend - i think ๐Ÿ™‚ we'll see how work goes ... busy busy
