Your amazing inroads and well crafted projects are extremely inspiring, Mr. Jerry Gaule!
Wow, it would be super if you could join up with the ALPB (Association of Low Power Broadcasters), where we need leadership ideas so we can all amount to something.
If you have time, that is.

Carl,
I will do that and thank you..
This would be nice change especially for my area where we don't have oldies.

Hope all is well.
I needed to return and re-read Gerald Gaule's description of his amazing radio dynasty, consisting of every outlet he could arrange, and probably more to come.
And I bring with me a most interesting story of a local event that is happening now; yet another doorway opening for the aspiring broadcaster. Let me build my story in pieces, one chunk at a time.
Start with translators, those low powered FM transmitters that the FCC authorizes for re-broadcasting an AM or FM station's main channel into areas not well covered by the main transmitter.
Technically, translators cannot be fed by original programming; they are not allowed to be LPFM stations. Unless you know a new trick.
Enter HD-Radio, the iBiquity or iBah digital side bands, available to each full power station. Now let me tell you a story that is unfolding right now in my market:
A local full power FM is leasing its iBah HD-channel to a not-for-profit fine arts classical music group which is using the HD as a "main channel". The full power owner also holds license to a 250Watt translator and as part of the agreement with the fine-arts group is allowing it to be used to re-broadcast the HD signal, which gives the classical station an analog presence. There you are.
Shop around, find a station that will lease their HD channel for your programming, then arrange for an analog translator.
A new door opens.
