Hello fellow Part 15'ers,

Hello fellow Part 15'ers,

I am in the process of raising some funding for an iAM/ATU system for my Part 15 station, Big D Radio. I am also moving the station out of the house and into its own little building.

In doing so, I have also upgraded some equipment. Therefore, the following items are surplus. A lot of this stuff is heavy so it might be worth your while to take a trip to North Florida if you want a lot of stuff.

Radio Systems 2-20 carrier current transmitter on 850 kHz. I never used it, so condition unknown. (I'm too far off the beaten path for CC to work well.)

LPB LA 2-20 linear amplifier for carrier current

ITC 3-deck cart machine

Spotmaster Five-Spot cart player (two of them.) One is missing a belt, but runs; the other is missing the bottom deck, but runs, and was missing the deck when used at a local AM station.) Have a matching switcher to use with these. These are heavy machines.

Oldies music library on cart (approximately 600 carts.)

Broadcast Electronics lazy susan cart racks (two of these) One in good condition, the other I "inherited" from another station, so it's more beat up.)

A couple of boxes of assorted carts. Some used; some black; a few new and never used.

QRK turntable (missing tone arm) and a few assorted turntable platters

Hamilton Rangemaster on 1610 (I believe I also have a crystal for 1620)

There are also a couple of Gates cart machines. They have been stored for years, condition unknown.

There may be some other items floating around. Please feel free to make an offer. I am looking to have an iAM and ATU as the primary transmitter with a TH II 4.6 as the back-up. Getting out of carrier current for good.

You can reach me at [email protected]. Prefer to help Part 15 folks first.

Thanks!

Alan

Why are opting to use your Talking House and IAM instead of your Rangemaster?

Rich,

It's kind of a long haul from the transmitter pole and ground rod to the trailer where the station is going.

I have had the worst time with the audio/power cable, running through the trees and such. First, the volunteer renovation crew (our mobile home is getting a DIY makeover from family and friends.) chopped it. Fixed it, only to have some wild animal run through it during the night.

Replaced it and put it up higher only to have my dad hit it with his farm equipment (loader) while moving roofing materials and scaffold to my house.

Just ready for a change after all the aggravation with the studio-transmitter line, I guess! I'm off the air now until I can get the new transmitter(s.) Definitely planning for a back-up system this time around.

The Rangemaster, the LPB linear amp and the RS transmitter are no longer available.

I am paring down more..

Several satellite receivers

CBS Volumax

Sparta 5 channel console with turntables - this is heavy!

Moving my station out of the house and into an 8 x26 trailer. It just won-t all fit.

If you need stuff, there is almost enough to builda station from scratch. It might be worth coming to Florida because this equipment needs to go.

I am in need of a waterproof ATU for a Talking House II.

I am always happy to help Part 15 folks that need things.

Alan

One is a MACOM CSR-T1001.

Another is a set that went together to a TV satellite dish:

President 700AT
President VideoCypher II Plus

I did have the matching dish to the President receivers, but it is being picked up by someone local.

As for price..I am just trying to earn $370 from everything to get the ATU to match the Talking House. That's the only thing on my wish list for now.

My wife and I were hit with roofing costs, a heat pump repair and an unexpected medical expense for her so our December and Christmas has been decimated. I am trying to bake cookies and baked goods this week for as many events as I can get.

I will pop in to the ALPB meeting on Friday but if I don't respond right away, I'm not ignoring you!

I still owe Pak-Mail $10 so I have to get them paid before I can send out anything else out. It's that tight for us,unfortunately.
