Was the OP drunk when they built their AMT3000?
I find it hard to believe it didn't work the first time after assembly, I have two of these gems and put them both together with shaky hands.
I have Essential Tremors and still managed to put two of these things together with only one mistake on the first one which was easily fixed after carefully tracing my steps through the manual.
A few years ago the first AMT3000 was a victim of a lightning strike close to the house. I still have the first one and from the looks of it, i may be able to save it .
My plans are to re-tune that kit for the Longwave band at 170 Khz while the second AMT3000 has been happily pumping out heavy metal and talk shows on 1620 khz without a complaint.
