Well, here's what I was thinkin.
I'm just trying it to try to make it
work. I learned a lot from all of
you guys when I was working on
it. The other thing is my friend
one mile away. He is a ham (so am I)
and he is my target listener. (He
hasn't heard it yet.)
Also it turns out that my unit, although
much simpler than Carl's or the other
guy on here who made one (can't
remember who) is a really good
yardcaster, and I have a couple of
shortwave portables.
So that's why I wanted to try 13.560.
I'm not done with it. I just talked to
a ham friend in New Jersey yesterday
who is interested in looking at the
original design based on the Pixie 2.
Actually, he has all kinds of ideas.
It's just that we both have so much
going on it takes time.
I don't think there is any way a 3 mW
AM signal will even make it up to the
ionosphere to bounce down somewhere
else. Well - actually it will - but it won't
be strong enough for anyone to hear it.
Best Wishes,
Bruce, MICRO1690/1700
RFBurns comments on new agers gets me started. One of my web pages is "Powered by Qi," believed by new agers to be a universal source of limitless energy that exists everywhere in space. Bruce, you ought to forget about solar power and install a Qi generator. The new agers are entirely vacant when it comes to a discussion of these ideas. They either say, "Whatever," and go back to chewing gum, or get snarly and refuse to articulate anything.
New age medicine believes there is an energy field that can fix your health just by moving hands in the right area. Same problem. They hate scientific inquiry about what kind of energy is it and how is it produced and has there been any research...
I was told that numbers exist in some metphysical way so that numbers mean something that actually determines good or bad outcomes, but I lost my place in that conversation by asking what invisible entity was keeping track of all the numbers and their meanings. Sort of sounds like IP addresses and DNS.
If only you have a lucky IP address, combined with yoga, you'll become enlightened.
I'm skipping college because I'm enlightened. Now we need an 18-pack.
Carl, you're making me laugh to hard!!

Oh yeah, Coal Burning Furnace in a Train Radio
(It usually get's there on time and you can
track it.)
Bruce, you've got to start broadcasting right now and make a regular show out of comments like you just made. I've never heard anything like it.
"It falls apart, but you can't get rid of it?"
Oh my goodness.
And do the show from a train.
You are the pioneer of Part 16 radio, a whole new set of rules for people who know things that have never been known before.
Stand aside. It's time for Molasses Radio. It's still time for Molasses Radio. Well, it's slow.
Laughing too hard!!!

Deja Vu Radio...yes, we did play this song and commercial just a minute ago....really.
Marshall, this will go bad for me, I know that.
But is it not true that a professional voice actor
Is someone who acts like he has a professional voice?
I can't stay, I have to leave now.

Yep..back in them days when proper polarization was a rare thing along with proper polarization with standards...next to nill.
Who ever back then examined their power cord closely to realize one of the wires on the pair's insulation had tiny ripples on it indicating which one was hot and which one was not while attached to a non-polarized plug with identical sized contact blades fitting into an electrical socket with identical sized slots.
More people drank coffee back then too.....too much caffeine for the blood...no wonder the wires in the breaker box had all kinds of different colors!! Pennies in the fuse socket.....aluminum foil....paper clips....someone's finger after licking it...or a metal butter knife held by bare hands.
Does that have anything to do with the increase in Viagra sales these last 20 years???? ๐

"Hey George, don't use that goofy glop on
your hair! Like, hey man, the chicks won't
ever dig it." Use what I use! Use Bryll Cream!
See how it makes my hair look like Vick's Vaporub?"
Now that you've done that, check out my new
Dumont TV! The nearest Dumont network
station is only 173 miles away and it's on
channel 82 and I don't have a UHF converter,
but we can drive reliably and comfortably
there in my 1953 Oldsmobile, with its Dynaflow
transmission. Plug in the TV anyway, and let's
watch the test pattern. This Maxwell house
coffee is sure good this morning, and I just
cleaned the drain with this Ajax Foaming

And remember, SERUTAN backwards, spells: NATURES!
George, buddy boy, you might want some of that, too!"
Voice Actors are not radio announcers. Voice Actors have access to the Screen Actors Guild (Oscar Award), AFTRA, IBEW and often are represented by talent agents and agencies. The pay difference is about 10 times that of a radio announcer.
Voice acting, or voice overs, include work with radio and television commercials, broadcast imaging, films and videos, industrial, corporate and government narration, audio books, telephone response systems, video games, promotional videos, real estate and park tours and a lot more.
The voice work is all over the world with the advent and use of the internet. Most voice acting is done from digital home studios, just like mine. Here is a tour of Joe Cipriano's home studio:

Another example is the Don LaFontaine Voice Over Lab of the Screen Actors Guild:

Enjoy.
The voice work is all over the world with the advent and use of the internet.
I have read in several entertainment publications that just about every animation production outfit uses this type of voicing for their stuff and the voicing actors are located all over the world.
They would not want my voice. There is not enough processors in the world combined that would make my voice usable. ๐
