RadioBoss (Windows) vs MacInMind's RadioLogik (MacOS X)
Ok - this isn't a comeptition. I have used both now, and after a week of literal side-by-side, I have to say that both are very very good.
They both do almost the exact same thing. The only tech difference I can see is that RadioBoss has the built in streaming. This is a double-edged sword. If you have a great sound card setup, and you don't hear the little "dit dit dit beep beep dit dit" almost morse code sound in the background (actually reminds me of the sound the Atari 8bit made when you loaded something from disk), then the built-in streaming is excellent.
Then there is the other difference, and this is why I like RadioLogik: This is an independent developer, who is making software he wants to make because he wants to use it. It uses very little resources (I am running it on a little iMac G5 I picked up at the local used computer shop for 175.00 then added a couple of gigs of ram to it), and it does a GREAT job of scheduling.
The developer is quick to respond, and points you to specific tutorials, document pages (not just "READ THE FINE MANUAL!"), and overall very helpful. To me, customer service is a deal breaker. If the software does what I need, and does not require me to take a class, but your customer service sucks... you are out. MacInMind gets a 5x5 from me.
