Radio Software
Any recommendations for software to help with radio programming?
If you're looking to buy, OTSDJ is an awesome package. For freeware, check www.mixtime.com. They have an excellent package.
For a WONDERFUL package go to http://www.mixtime.com
Many people use Winamp, but it's not a good program at all for automation. I don't reccomend it at all. ๐
I've heard good comments about DRS-2006 and OTS. I'd go with the DirEttore or Ots.
Our LPFM station has tunetracker, it seems to work very well.
Just took a bit to get the right mix of computer hardware that
would work with the Zeta RC2 operating system.
Once it was up, no weekly rebooting like with a Windows system.

We were using the free Arakis Digilink program while we got the tune tracker system operating.
Actually we will probably go with the Digilink program for the Live Assist.
It is a bit of a pain in that you need to name your audio files in a way that
it wants to recognize them, though it will sort them without renaming.
At any rate it does have a rename utility built in to it.
And since it is free.. Pretty hard to beat that price. Pretty stable also.
Very easy to learn also.

Prefer the Tune Tracker program though, easy to program, very flexible, and very stable due to not being on a microcrash system.
