Spirit award to SaGR for this great contribution!

I just like to make sure I'm understanding things correctly.
In the general order of things, if your content is original it would be wise to license it through Creative Commons. If you want to do your network (which I'm interested in as well) don't register with the RIAA/SX.
Personally I think that sooner or later the government (FCC or the Commerce Division) is going to step in and force the RIAA out or at least force them to change their terroristic methods of business.
I've been playing with this feed on the Metzo this week...
The ID function in their "Antioch Rebroadcaster" seems to work very well!

Might be good filler for weekends I'm out of town and can't watch the station!
Nice link Wyatt!
Signed up for Sundays...
I listened to his show today, great stuff! I love how he serializes everything. Same time the next day and you continue on with the series. Very well done!
...while they do a great job of programming, I'm looking at the slick fashion that his "Antioch Rebroadcaster" works...automatic insertion of station ID's (I haven't heard it miss more than one) and local programming.
If anyone gets to the point of assembling this kind of "Part 15 network", this kind of function would work very nicely...

"If I recall, there is a discounted license level for that kind of use, its name escapes me right now, and I have heard that it includes limits on use of things like no more than 80 seconds of any work can be used and stuff like that."
This used to be called "Per-program" licensing, though SESAC moved to calling it a "Talk" license some time back. It used to be 59 seconds of a selection permitted before it became a reportable "play", which meant a higher rate that hour...

I've been emailing back and forth with Jay from ABN.
We're going to test toned switching this week with other automation apps to see if it would work as well.
Yep, that's what I was thinking of.
So, if you don't use those materials, no fees.

I haven't tried it, but supposedly Zararadio supports DTMF switching. We used to use that years ago, and I think Westweird 1 still supports the old Mutual DTMF switching. Hey, if it works...

I ALWAYS recommended my stations carry per-program at a minimum. Saved them tons of headaches in case of an audit. If you're doing high school football and one of the bands plays a licensed work, you can get stuck. Seriously!

Yep,Zara has DTMF satellite operation in versions 1.4 and 1.6 and it does work. I'm ready to try a feed if anyone wants to play with P2P streaming. Regards,Lee
...will Zara DTMF switch from a stream???

If the tone event is to load a playlist or something along that line...
wilcomlabs - Re: p2p stream...I see one potential issue with it. Those who don't use Winamp to control their stations ๐
I'll try and set aside some time this week to play with it. What's the site url?
I was using streamer p2p radio. Also going to use Zara on one computer and Winamp on another unless I can get that dang line in plugin to work again!!!
www.streamerp2p.com/ station is Golden Oldies
