Complaints had been received from many communities that garage door remote control devices suddenly had ceased to work, coinciding with the launch of the Navy's new Enterprise Land Mobile Radio System.
The Navy said that base commanding officers do not have the authority to modify their system because of local complaints, or to offer compensation to unlicensed users affected by the new system. The Navy said that affected homeowners should contact their garage door manufacturer.

This story kind of made me grin!.. fortunately not something we would have to worry about with our transmitters since it relates to radio frequencies between 380 and 399.9 megahertz. But it does look like some homeowners are going to have to open their garage doors the old fashioned way!
