This one runs about 27 minutes long.

Friday evening (4/24) Atrain's 3rd Rant will air on KDX Worldround Radio following "Security Now," probably about 8.
The expansion in length of "The Rant" fits with my initial observation that Atrain has the potential of becoming the replacement for fading radio shouters across the dial, who were never very good, but bought their way into jobs. More inside story about "the sunset for bad radio" on a forthcoming Low Power Hour.
Atrain has been sent to us by good fortune to restore the art of The Rant and has the endorsement of the ALPB.
Hahah thanks so much Carl! I'm very flattered that you think I can repalce the old shouters. Maybe I will! But I'd also like to be known as the guy who brings "the underground to the forefront". I want to have the show be the new Coast to Coast, playing indie music and music from vinyl aross America. Certainly unlikely, but I will do my damn best to make it a real thing!
After dark I suddenly remembered the JAZZ FEST. What?
Every year KDX is part of a national hookup of stations carrying the New Orleans Jazz Festival from WWOZ, which begins on April 24th, but I hadn't gotten the Schedule nor the IP link address from WWOZ. Damn!
I contacted WWOZ and the mixup got fixed, so the JAZZ FEST will cause several days of KDX programming to be moved from their usual time-slots, and RANT is one of the programs that needs to be changed.
Because this is a shock for me I will do the math and let everyone know where their shows have been moved to.
This serves as a perfect example of the hazards of maintaining a broadcast schedule.
Taking a moment from my artificially busy and semi-important schedule I allowed BOB'S Message to infuse my soul... both of my souls... and my faith spread like a rash.
Now I have happy news to wipe away your earthly concerns:
Atrain's Rant has been salvaged from oblivion and WILL AIR TONIGHT!!
The same is true of "The Little Things" from Blue Bucket Radio!
With BOB guiding my pencil I have pushed and shoved programs around and here's the result...
7 PM The Friday Opening Day of the Jazz Fest concludes, followed by the Daily KDX Worldround News Hour (moved from 5 PM)
8 PM The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (moved from 3 PM).
9 PM THE RANT and THE LITTLE THINGS, Including Tim's Bovey HEADLINES
11 PM The Week in Repeat - All the newscasts from the whole week filling the night.
Loyalty to Part 15, don't you think?
A bit surprising .......... The Who .............. Who? Well they celebrate their 50 anniversary.

Hi Rob.
The City of New Orleans is all about music of all kinds, it's ALL jazz to them!
Always time for a parade, a drink, female companionship, everybody is welcome!
The City nickname is "The Big Easy" because with such good entertainment there are no problems.
Except for Hurrican Katrina and a little government ineptitude. But who remembers?
The Jazz Fest closed 50-minutes early tonight because of a Tornado Alert in New Orleans. This has got me juggling programs again.
Here is what we expect...
6:08 PM CDT (already in progress) KDX Nightly News Block;
7 PM Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center;
8 PM Tim in Bovey Headlines
8:05 Rant from Atrainradio
8:35 The Little Things from Blue Bucket Radio
10 PM The Week in Repeat.
What else could change? We might have storms here midway up the Mississippi River. We also shut down during severe weather.
Keep awake.
I am currently live on WHAR 92.9. At 9:00 EDT I will relay KDX for Tim's news and my rant. Tune in to hear my show live and also to hear KDX at 9pm.
Well actually currently, I am playing Radio Echo One, a radio show my friend Rob (from England!) produces!

What did you think of this one?
I enjoyed the announcement that now you have a talking points list of topics rather than speaking off the top of the head. Having all those topics ready to go made the show longer.
A few times I felt like calling in and arguing about something, in particular the statement that the military is fighting for our freedoms. But I could do rant show of my own if I thought my point of view was worth putting out there.
Oh wait, I do have a rant show... it's called Blare OnAir, but I've not been doing any new ones for awhile.
There was something else I wanted to respond to, but my brain has crashed for the night and I can't remember what it was.
I believe in the Rant Show, thanks for doing it.
There will be no Part 15 shows heard on KDX this coming Friday, May 1, 2015.
This coming weekend will be the last four days (Thursday to Sunday) of the New Orleans Jazz Fest on KDX, which squeezes a lot of regular programs off the schedule or moves them to other time slots.
The Part 15 Programs, Tim's Headlines, Atrain's Rant and Barry's The Little Things, return to KDX Friday, May 8, 2015 at (approximately) 8 PM CDT.
Looking forward to it.
Radio rants can be very good. Atrainradio has a knack for it, and I enjoy his weekly rants, which return next Friday on KDX Worldround Radio.
My own rant show, Blare OnAir, sort of faded away, although I air re-runs once a day.
Now that the subject of "rants" has come up, I've begun thinking about it in a more formal way...
Some rants are simply off-the-cuff and off-the-top-of-the-head comments about things that bother us, but a few personalities have turned ranting into an art form.
In our time Alex Jones is a master of rant because he scrupulously studies and fact checks his material, but has the gift of being able to leave the page and speak in free form while maintaining a logical flow.
During the "Age of Radio" in the 40s and 50s Henry Morgan was the best thing on network radio until they ruined his show: he would rant about things of the time in a wonderful comic wit, but some network idiots felt his show was shooting over the heads of the American audience, generally an empty-headed bunch so they thought, and forced Henry to do a dumbed down show for drop-outs.
My ranting is different because I get so far on a sentence before I lose track of what I started to say, so I change the subject all the time.
We had a guy post here awhile back who shared some rants and I feel I might have unintentionally driven him away because I responded to his comments the way a listener might, and he might have taken it as a put-down. What I hoped he'd do is come back at it with a defense of his position or, if I changed his mind, he could have said so. But he exited. I hope we can get him back.
The weekly Part 15 Programs return to KDX next Friday the 8th of May when Atrain has a new one for us, together with "The Little Things" from Blue Bucket Radio and Tim's Headlines from Bovey.
Say, maybe we should plan a Symposium on Rant for the ALPB (?)
- Every spring the winter of no attractions fills with a plethora of distractions.

*clears throat* I hate Alex Jones.
I used to love that guy. Until he started injecting his religion and his goddamn super male vitality s**t into ever minute of his show.
Atrain has a valid point that has bothered me as well.
Alex Jones is right about many of his rants, but comes totally short when he decries, "It's all true! The angels, the demons, the Son of God!"
Many people below the "Bible Belt" have been so deeply infected with the god virus they are unable to realize how ludicrous they are.
The other thing, the "Male Vitality Vitimin Products, which at times reduce his show to an infommercial, are the sales items that actually helps fund the show and pay his staff, so I sort of put up with it.
Humans, said by some to be a "special godlike species," are only another type of animal scrounging around and at their best using Part 15 radio to communicate.
The ALPB can save your soul.
