People's generosity never ceases to amaze me. I posted an ad saying I was looking for the rubber shock mounts for the QRK's - some guy sends me an email asking me for my address - he found 6 (exactly the number I needed) and he's mailing them to me gratis.

I finally got the old KSZU console up and working! This is the awesome mono console from 1967-68. It has the great big turny knobs, auto-mute for the monitors when it goes into mic-on mode.. the cards that have the amps were all rebuilt with modern components - but everything else (even the 25 pound power supply) is original.
I'll add pics of it some time today on the www.mantecaradio.com website.
I'm very excited about this.
Manteca Radio has been revived as a 1960s Oldies station using the "KXOK 630" identifier. The station is streaming at www.mantecaradio.com (and www.kxok630.com) and we hope to have our first Part 15 SStran AMT3000 running fulltime downtown -- in the vicinity of Yosemite & Main -- beginning on August 1.
The new Manteca Radio is not affiliated with the original MLR.
Awesome!
I could not be happier.. well.. I could still live in Manteca... then I might be happier ๐
If you guys need any help at all, please let me know - I'm happy to help and only 2 and a half hours away by car/truck (only a few seconds via linear accelerator.. )
