Hello,
I am looking around for a new legal part 15 transmitter even if its a kit format or assembled also I want it to cover the house and yard and uses a short antenna nothing over the limit.
I might have to relocate my frequency to 107.3 or 92.5, but I prefer to reside on 88.3 so the
signal will not go that far away. As for AM, I want one that broadcasts on 540 kHz or
1610 kHz that station will be for podcast broadcasting. I also have a plan on keeping 88.3
MHz and run a podcast transmitter on 92.5 so I don't have to be listening to 88.3 all the time I can listen to the podcasts on 92.5 MHz. I don't know if I have any listeners anyways.
Some help would be nice, thanks
Adam E.
Well,um,the SSTrans is a great little legal AM solution which has gotten great reviews which can be found elsewhere on this site. For FM,there are lots of choices,Ramsey,Metzo,EDM...ect with different reviews also available on this site. Be careful with FM,it doesnt take much to be over the legal field strength limit. Basically, keep your FM range under 300 feet and you should pass muster. On AM you can run 100milliwatts and a 9 foot antenna/ground system. You can get a mile or more with the right antenna and some careful tuning. Regards,Lee

Depending on what you want to do, the Talking House can be attractive, too.
I have landlord issues and the Talking House has a built in random wire tuner so I can just hang a wire out the window and the unit will add the right amount of inductance and capacitance to the wire to give the best match for the frequeny you choose. It's like having Carl the antenna guy inside the box tuning the antenna every time you plug it in.
