Hi all...
I seem to recall there was a thread once that contained links to sources of free audio content.
I'd like to see new, current list here, perhaps as a category under web links, or a standalone page. Perhaps we can start listing our sources of free content in this forum, and then extract the information to be put into a standalong page.
I'll start things off with some free audio content that I use, or have come across while looking for free content.

Most of these I have asked for permission to play on my station, or gleaned enough from their website to determine that syndication was OK
pirateweather.com - local weather delivered as a podcast
naturecuresclinic.com - weekly naturopathic health podcast
freetalklive.com - live call in show as MP3 stream and podcast
bbsradio.com - live MP3 stream, diverse alternative programming, many different hosts
accentradionetwork.com - satellite network with MP3 stream, various talk shows, christian based
ghostlytalk.com - weekly live show, paranormal issues, MP3 stream, podcast
nightwatchshow.com - weekly live show, paranormal issues, MP3 stream, podcast
wahmtalkradio.com - work at home moms talk show, podcast
evworld.com - electric vehicle news, alternative energy, podcast
coverville.com - fun music, covers, podcast
baddawgradio.com - indie rock and blues shows, podcast
I'm especially interested in live shows, especially ones that interview and talk calls. It adds so much spontaneity to the program.
Please add your links by replying to this thread.

Wow... I found a web site that produces free-to-use, five-minute hourly news updates between 6am and 6pm, Pacific time. The organization is called "Quality News Network" and their website is http://qualitynewsnetwork.com/
They currently offer news only via satellite and by streaming Real Media. I emailed their listed contact to inquire about using their service and if they could provide an MP3/podcast feed. I received a response within minutes. They said that a podcast might be in the works, and they are happy to have as many people as possible hear their program.
If you can play Real Media streams, or have access to a satellite receiver, you might be able to add fresh, hourly news to your station. Currently my automation software can handle only MP3 streams, so I may experiment with using another computer to convert the Real Media stream to MP3 for later use.

Utterly, totally, absolutely, fabulously good idea. I'm going to try to set up a book page that will let everyone post their finds. I'm still feeling my way around the new CMS, so I'm sure there'll be a laugh or two as I try to figure it out. I'll back it up to a text file...
EDIT
Feel free to post on the Links to Free Audio book page as a comment or here in the forum. I'll check from time to time and steal anything good ๐

I just got back a positive answer from the program director at HealthRadioNetwork.com regarding the carriage of their shows. They granted me permission to carry their shows (delivered as a podcast) as long as I tell them which shows, the date I start, and the timeslot I air them.
Looks like lots of good programing to pick from there.
