I tuned in and heard a group of guys talking... when they spoke at normal voice levels the audio quality was very good. But when they'd raise their voices and talk loud, which they did a lot, the mics went into clipping distortion.
One cause might be the need to trim down the inpu to the mic pre-amps so they can handle louder input.
At times I heard crackle-static. Don't know what that is from.

Yeah it's a weird set up I got. I have a little tuned to the freq of my station going into my laptop. It's very fidgety, but I'm doing the best I can. I'll keep working on it.
