I'm not sure where the Hamsphere servers are located. The individual listed as the developer has a Ham licence, 5B4AIT, and lists himself as a "Swede living in Cyprus."
Gosh, as long as the radio aspect of this operation is IMAGINARY, I would imagine my antenna array located somewhere in rural Summit County, Ohio. It would be a huge log periodic, steerable, at about 100 feet. That way if I change "frequency" there is no retuning needed and I can point the antenna to target specific audiences.
My power is adjustable from 10 watts to 2.5 kilowatts. Currently I'm running about 100 watts. You can watch the signal on the band scope rise and fall with propagation changes.
Did you notice much QSB (fading) of the signal? The simulation is to create all the effects you normally experience on shortwave signals.
The really fun part was seeing who is listening to my broadcast in the "Cluster" window. I was able to personalize the program by adding my comments directed to specific listeners during the 30's music show which runs Saturdays between 2300 and 0000 zulu time. I was able to welcome each listener and talk to THEM.
I'm not sure what happens after today, the end of the 3 day trial period. I'll keep you posted.

This is reality world calling the parallel dimension of mental shortwave.
Glad to hear things are well over in nowhere, where your 100Watts managed to just break through the noise, but occasionally dipped below intelligibility, where you sounded like less nowhere.
In just 3-days I won't be able to get very deep into this highly interesting Hamsphere project, and if my reading is correct the subscription is $35-per-year.
If the transmitters went to 50kW or 100kW that would put us on footing with shortwave broadcast stations, but I'm guessing that the 2.5kW top end is the ham limitation.
It's a brilliant invention and no wonder it seems to have an active user base.
Let us know what MRAM decides to do with Hamsphere in the future. You would probably be the first part 15er to launch such a service. Then we would have a race to see who became the 2nd.

Im doing some testing on 6.247 myself.
Tried for Mram on 6.240 came in pretty good
after the 3 days it appears you cannot broadcast anymore.

Quickly tuning to 6.247 there was a slight trace of talk and maybe music way in the noise, which hovered around 1.5 on the S-meter.
While not being able to confirm that The Crow was being heard, let's just jump to a conclusion and declare The Crow to be the 2nd Part 15er in world history to broadcast on Hamsphere.
Also checked 6.240 and MRAM was at a slightly higher level than yesterday, with lapses between modulation going down to 1 and music modulation (Glenn Miller In the Mood) jumping to a 5.
What is all that noise? Is it from the artificial sun?

Just next to The Crow's shortwave frequency I had a zip code jotted down, so when I returned to see how The Crow's signal had improved in a couple of hours I dialed 6312.....
but the BC (broadcast band) at Hamsphere doesn't cover that zip code.
Once I sorted everything out and got the correct frequencies, 6.247 The Crow was still down in the noise here by The Gateway Arch. In fact, that's the problem. The Arch is soaking up all the signals. Likewise 6.240 MRAM was low in the noise.
There was somebody at 6.255 banging in with This Week in Amateur Radio, very loud.
Say, why doesn't part15.us start some simulated AM and FM bands where we could all rush to obtain a frequency on a first come last serve basis?

I think Im running at a lower power than Mram.
I have it set to 8 right now. Im thinking mram is using 11.
I'll crank it up to 11 to see where I go.
but 2nd that motion on part 15.us doing that.
Hey if anyone gets it, why not record it, I'd like to know what it sounds like.

What a good idea, so I recorded you for 6-minutes at 6:34 PM CST today's date.

scroll down below all the "BlareOnAir" listings and you'll find your mp3 clip.
I was about to do the same for MRAM but at that time the signal was too covered up.

Thats Pretty Cool, thanks Carl.
Now imagine if that was the real deal!
over where I'm at Mram on 6.240,me on 6.247, and the one on 6.270are the strongest ones. 6.285 comes in pretty good too.
