New stuff always makes me all warm and fuzzy. And makes me want to go test things.
Just took delivery last week, finally got to fire it up today.

Retiring the Belar stack and moving up! Note there's a link where you can play with one online on that web page if you want to see one in action. They can connect to your LAN or give you access on the web with full control! They have one monitoring in real time that you can access on the web.
I'll have a complete evaluation on a previously mentioned FM transmitter probably mid next week. But I'm killing the weekend visiting my Son and hitting a big hamfest. So, all the typing will come next week!
And I've got a couple... well three... other interesting tests on the horizon hopefully before we've got snow up here. I have a stack of C Crane FM 2's sitting here, and a stack of Whole House 3.0's sitting here. Both of which I evaluated last fall but now I'll be testing for manufacturing consistency.
And what about that Ramsey FM25B? Muwahahahah....

Would the Broadcastvision model AXS-FMTD be on your list of transmitters to test?
I'm sure there'd be some interest in this also.

I've given it some consideration as I've seen a few folks here and there trying them out.
Trouble is, they're expensive. Compared to others anyway. And if they're legal, no matter how much you spend you're not going to get more range.
I don't have one on the pile for this round, but I just might in the future.

Yikes! $3200! Did you buy that, or did the radio station?

Tim.....
If you're "retiring" your Belar unit(s)....are you considering selling them?
If the $$ is right....I might be interested....
That 531N is really impressive!!! Alas.....property taxes will eat that $3k.....:(
Looks like I'll be trying out of the new Pira P275 FM Broadcast Analyzers (due out later in October.....) ~US$275 -- not too bad for what it is.....!!

But before you get too excited, I did buy a "b" stock model from BSW, which means it had been opened, possibly demonstrated, and then gone over, sealed and certified by Inovonics and sold with the full 3 year warranty so it was less than regular price. Not cheap, but remember I do commercial broadcast engineering so it's part of my investments for my independent engineering work so it's a business expense, and I bill for my services. Basically it's owned by my business, but since I own the business and am the sole employee...
Being not only frequency agile, but able to take signals off the air with out an separate RF amp or internal changes -- just punch in the frequency you want.., it's great for checking Part 15 transmitters. The Belar unit is basically set up for a chosen frequency, and is of course a grouping of three units, modulation monitor, stereo monitor and RF amp. I'll be hanging on to the Belar units for now.
