Not very active anymore but had some 40 meter QSOs in the last month. Rig is a Drake TR-3 with AC-3 and RV-3 (lots of glorious tubes) and a home brew antenna tuner.
Sometimes work 2 meter simplex...don't care for repeaters.

I would LOVE to get my Drake TR-3 on the air! I bought one a few years ago as a project rig, but it's been collecting dust ever since. It works slightly but not well enough to actually use; definitely needs caps replaced and probably some tubes. All-tube rig, except for I think 4 rectifier diodes? The guy who shipped it wasn't aware that the RV-3 power supply needed to be secured beforehand, so that was all messed up on arrival.
Picked mine up used in '77. It was manufactured in '65 so it was in pretty good shape except the finals were flat. Back then one could still easily get tubes and I did so and it pushes out the specified power. Being a tube rig, it will load into almost any antenna.
Alignment, though involving many steps, is rather easy. I always liked the sound and "feel" of the receiver. It is plenty sensitive.
Hope you can get yours up to par and use it.

I have a TR-3 I should fire up.
