I didn't say that Canadian hams were allowed to use vulgar language. I just stated that the CRTC has been reluctant in the past to enforce those rules (there is far more pressure applied by licensed broadcasters in the broadcast bands).
Tonight I'm using a new show to fill in for a program that's away on holiday. The new program would be good except for liberal sprinklings of vulgar language.
Running it after 10 PM would work in this time zone, but I have listeners in California where it's only 8 PM (when it's 10 PM here).
Well, the vulgarity standards for broadcasting only apply over the air and not on internet streams, but I want to be vulgarity free.
So here's the deal... this program will have it's hour, but never be heard again on my station.
Or, or, or... maybe I'll use the program for a slight vulgarity fee. How about, $5 per naughty word. Agreed?
