Nice find! However that lovely tapestry of balloons and wavy lines leaves out two important facts.
1. AM Stereo experiments in the 20's and it's development and eventual caused on purpose failure in the 80's.
2. One sound fit's all ears corporate takeover of local broadcast stations.
There are probably more but hey....if history is to be quoted in artwork, or in any other form, it should be quoted accurately with full accountability and context.
I know...be it for me to be the only one in the crowd to point out the only cloud in the sky! ๐

The History of Radio is told on this site in a very clever way, although I also see a few misses along with all the hits.
To mention only one, I saw no reference to Nathan B. Stubblefield of Kentucky, the possible inventor of wireless transmission.
But the argument over the true "first" inventor will never be answered, any more than the true inventor of life in the universe.
The good thing is that we will always have plenty to talk about, that is, if we actually exist.
"I know...be it for me to be the only one in the crowd to point out the only cloud in the sky! :P"
Heh-heh, well, I don't think all that was the intention, of course. It's hard to generalize and be specific at the same time in the same space.
Hey, I think you should write the history of radio, and include all the known corporate/political maneuvering as well as a fair chunk of conspiracy theory thrown in. Now that would really be a fun read!! What say? ๐
I always keep my tinfoil cap at the ready ... sits right next to my beanie with the propeller ...
A very clever point was made by whoever pointed out the word "history" actually says "his story." What about "her story?"
This particular instance of approximate history is no different than the hole filled "history of anything" as told by school text books.
Things left out include the truth, the actual facts, the real details, and whole chunks of substantial size.
This could be the start of a major commentary on the shortfalls of historic record keeping, but lets connect this to the part 15 saga.
May I now hand the task to someone more qualified..... YOU!
