Herbert Hoover's Warnings About Radio

The comments by Secretary Hoover about broadcasting make good sense and are intelligent, I'll have to read them a second time to find something to disagree with.

But obviously Hoover had no clue about the future with Part 15 Radio.

With Part 15 radio there is no monopoly, no corporate control. Each individual can own and program his/her own station and say anything on the microphone that he thinks, even if he is lying about it.

If we wonder what our neighbor is up to all we need is a radio tuned to his frequency and a window we can fling open to shout our approval or disapproval.

Today we are in a world Herbert Hoover couldn't imagine.

I thought Hoover made vaccum cleaners?.....guess this must be a different Hoover!
